Sixteen-year-old Josh, a student at Belper Sixth Form, is gearing up for the challenge of a lifetime. On 2nd May 2026, he will cycle an incredible 100 miles from Belper to Skegness in an effort to raise £5,000 towards a transformative volunteering expedition to Botswana with Outlook Expeditions.
For Josh, this journey is about far more than travel. It’s an opportunity to push himself, give back, and experience a world far beyond his own.
A Journey With Purpose
During the Botswana expedition, Josh will take part in a range of meaningful and challenging activities, including:
- Supporting community projects and volunteering with children in a local village
- 🦏 Assisting conservation teams at a rhino sanctuary
- Hiking and camping across the African plains, developing resilience, teamwork and independence
- Ending the expedition at the breathtaking Victoria Falls, one of the world’s natural wonders
This experience will test him physically and mentally while allowing him to make a positive impact on both people and wildlife.
The Challenge: Belper to Skegness — 100 Miles
To help fund the expedition, Josh has committed to a major endurance challenge: 🚴 A 100-mile bike ride from Belper to Skegness, taking place on 2nd May 2026.
Months of training, discipline and determination have gone into preparing for this ride. Josh is fully committed to completing the challenge and making this opportunity a reality.
How You Can Support
Josh is aiming to raise £5,000, and every donation — big or small — brings him one step closer to Botswana. If you’re unable to donate, simply sharing his story would make a huge difference.
This is more than a fundraiser. It’s a young person pushing his limits, embracing adventure, and choosing to make a positive mark on the world.
